AGM - 2012

I give notice that the above AGM will be held on WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 8TH AT 2 P.M.

9.    Secretary’s Report

a.    For clarification of procedures, following events that were not provided for, it is proposed by the Secretary and seconded by the Chairman that the Rule 1 shall have added the following sections:

·         “The Committee shall consist of the Officers of the League - a Chairman, a Secretary, a Match Secretary (the previous two posts may be combined), a Treasurer and a President. Up to four other members may be elected to serve on the Committee.

·         Each member of the Committee (whether also an Officer or not) is to be elected annually and current members may stand again.

·         The Committee shall have the power to co-opt a member or members who shall serve until the next following AGM at which they may stand again. Such members shall have full voting rights.

·         The Committee shall have the power to appoint such sub-committees as they deem appropriate and for such specific purpose as they deem appropriate. Such sub-committees shall report only to the full Committee and shall have no power to act on their own.

·         In the event of any vacancy occurring between AGM’s, the Committee shall elect a substitute who shall be granted the powers of the post he or she occupies and shall serve until the next following AGM at which they may stand again. Such members shall have full voting rights.”

11. Election of Officers for 2012

a.    President: It is proposed by the Secretary “that Trevor Bathard’s temporary position be ratified by the AGM”; seconded by the Chairman. 

b.    Chairman: Mrs S Sawyer

c.    Treasurer: Mr K White

d.    Match secretary: Mr J Matson

e.    Secretary: Mr J Bennett

f.     Committee Members: Mr D Sawyer, Mr Robert Pask and Mrs Sheila Bennett – proposed by the Chairman and seconded by the Secretary

12. A.O.B.   Please notify the Secretary, in writing, at least 7 days beforehand of any items.

 

N.B. Any member of constituent clubs may attend and speak, but voting is one per club.

 Please remember to bring your subscriptions with you and see the Treasurer. And also bring your Contact Details sheet and see the Secretary.

From High Street, turn into Church Street; take second right, second left into Vicarage Road, then straight on into Howell Road. The Primary school is on the left – immediately after the school is the entrance to the recreation ground.

There is ample parking space right outside the Club.

 

Tea or coffee will be available before the meeting from about 1.30.
